Forsyth Humane Society's mission is to promote and provide for the humane treatment of cats and dogs in Forsyth County, North Carolina. In support of our mission, the Forsyth Humane Society (FHS) is committed to achieving a 90% save rate of shelter dogs and cats in Forsyth County by 2023. Animal companionship enriches peoples’ lives. Animal companionship builds character and teaches compassion. The overpopulation of cats and dogs will be reduced through awareness, education, and community involvement. The compassionate treatment of animals positively impacts our community’s vitality.

In addition to running lifesaving programs in partnership with nearly 3,000 animal welfare groups, they have regional centers across the country and operate the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.
The vets and staff are second to none. They treat all of our animals like their own. In addition, we are always done super quickly! They are punctual but offer the best and most thorough care possible. I never feel like my questions don’t matter! We work primarily with Dr. Journell and she’s the best!

Dr. Journell is seriously the best. She kept our baby bear happy and strong for two years after he was diagnosed with heart failure. She understood what was right for him and what was to much for his body to handle. My husband and I love all the staff as well, always friendly and understanding.
