Pet Boarding
We enjoy giving your beloved pets a home away from home while you head out of town for business or pleasure. Our Lewisville facility offers separate and ample space for both dogs and cats for maximum relaxation. We strive to make pet boarding an easy and convenient process that gives you peace of mind--your best friend is staying with people they know and can trust!
How to Schedule Boarding for Your Pet
Spring and summer are major boarding seasons here in Lewisville, but the holidays are also a popular time to board. We recommend scheduling your pet’s reservation at least two weeks in advance of the desired boarding date to confirm their spot. Please note that a cancellation fee will apply if booking is changed or cancelled within 72 hours of scheduled boarding time.

Our Facility's Pet Boarding Offerings
Boarding can be stressful for pets, especially if it’s a new experience. At Animal Hospital of Lewisville, we go beyond the basics to create an experience that is both relaxing and fun.
- We have three outdoor yards where dogs can play and stretch their legs
- Dogs are walked a minimum of 3 times a day, 7 days per week
- We offer bathing services, which includes a complimentary nail trim, ear cleaning, and anal gland expression (if needed) for each boarding guest. When you drop off your pet, we’ll give you a form so you can select the services your pet needs
- Owners can request extra playtime for their pets
*Pets receiving a bath during the week will be available for pick up after 2pm. Pets leaving us on Saturday will be bathed on Friday.

Our Health and Safety Policy
All boarding pets must be current with all of their vaccinations, and need to have visited their veterinarian within the year. Also, if your pet is not current with their flea prevention, we will give them a safe, 24-hour pill that will kill any fleas they might have. This helps to keep our facility a flea-free environment for our other guests.
If your pet has a pre-existing condition -- such as diabetes, seizures, or heart disease -- it would be best to set up an appointment with one of our doctors prior to boarding. This allows us an opportunity to get to know your pet for their safety and well-being while staying with us.
